August 4th was family day

So this last Saturday was the first in a while where it was just me, Mike and the kids. We took our time in the morning just chilling and watching shows and eating breakfast. Then we went to Costco to get some food items and look for a church dress for Evy since we promised her one. Their selection was horrid though so we passed on the dress. We then ran home, put the food away, got the kids in their swimsuits and headed to the Splash Pad. We were told about it by a friend and Evy really wanted to go. It was pretty cool. Evy took a while to get used to it but by the end she was loving it. Ethan never did get used to it. He got to the point he would walk around really cautiously but then had a mishap with a bucket of water that dumped on his head just as he stopped to make sure nothing was going to get him wet. I laughed pretty hard but he didn't find it to funny. He liked the little fountains though. We stayed there for quite a while and then got the kids dressed and decided to go see Mikes mom. We hung out there for a while and then we got to go to our niece (Kylie) birthday party. It was so fun. She was so cute and so excited about everything she got. Even the cards. She would open them and hold them up and jump around all excited. It was so adorable. We got to hang out there for a few hours and then took Mikes mom home since we all rode together. That was pretty fun too. She is on some medication to help her eye heal from what we hope is something fixable but the medicine makes her really chatty. Mike and I loved it! It was so fun to see that side of her and get to talk to her about a bunch of crazy things. I really had a great day and I loved seeing the family and just spending time together.

Watching the other kids and trying to figure out if she really wants to do this.

Realized it was fun and she had a blast.

At first she did her best to avoid the water but then started running into it on purpose

Ethan just watched for the most part

Evy taking Ethan to a little fountain to show him it is fun.

He didnt get to close but it was cute that she tried.

He did like this one.

Evy liked putting her back in the water fall. You can kinda see the top of it. She was so funny

The two of them playing and enjoying getting wet.

Sounds like so much fun! The pictures of the kids are really cute, especially the ones of Evy trying to convince Ethan to play in the fountains.
