Memorial Day 5-27-13

Every year on Memorial Day Mikes family does a baseball game at the park if the weather is nice or volleyball at the church if it is raining. This year it was nice so we all met at 10 at the park. Evylee loved hitting the ball and running all the bases to hit the home plate and get a point. She loved it. Mike and Ethan played a bit too. I sat with a friend from my inlaws ward and watched the babies. That is where I preferred to be anyway :) I enjoyed watching the game though. That was so fun. Later my parents showed up since my dad was going to do our inspection of our house we got excepted on. We all went to Randy and Kathryns house for some lunch and  ate some hot dogs and we were able to leave the kids with Mikes parents. We rode in my parents car. Dad seemed a little more short tempered then usual especially with my mom. If you know my dad at all he is the most patient person alive so when he lost his cool for a few seconds it was very out of character. He seemed to be a bit out of breath too which was weird. I just figured it was stress from the wedding and what not. (Turns out he had a broken rib, again if you know my dad he has a very high pain tolerance level so he was just handling it till he couldnt take the pain anymore, the next day, and went to the doctor. That would explain the short temper and the lack of breath. Poor daddy) Anyway we got out to the house and my dad started the inspection while I showed my mom around the house. At first it was all negative stuff like she wasnt very excited about the house which made me sad cause all I wanted was for her and my dad to approve and be happy for us but by the end and after my dad said everything passed inspection and there was only one or two things they had to fix my mom did a complete 180. She loved the deck and started having all these ideas and then started talking about what to do with the front room and getting excited to decorate and make the house mine so that made me very happy :) They dropped us back off at Mikes parents house and we spent some time with them and then headed home to spend some time relaxing and enjoying just being us. All in all a very good day.
